I have bought the car when she was 5 years old and since has covered 175.000 km's.

I once had a problem with the camshaft belts (broken) and was fortunate that the pistons and cylinder head didn't been damaged. Although I had to replace the valves which where bent.

After this I have left off the covers over the cam belts so I can check them very regularly.

For the rest is the engine standard as it came from the factory and had with that setup, except the camshaft belt, no problem what so ever. Others may say the Gamma is a drama, I find the engine sublime, very smooth, and reliable.

I think that the good maintenance off the engine, which I do myself, is very rewarding and I recommend everyone to do the same. As I have found out that the engine can do as good without all the modifications.
